Transosseous Dental Implants:
This kind of implant will generally pass through the bone. It has a flat bone plate that will be fitted to the lower portion of the mandible. There will be a number of posts projecting from the plate. The design variations can be related to the posts available in the bony plates for retention. The number will usually vary from one to two that will help in penetrating the oral cavity to offer prosthesis support. The materials are made of pure titanium alloy or gold alloy. The threaded surfaces of these posts will have special surface coatings.
Endosseous Dental Implant:
This is the commonly found dental implant approach in today’s dental field. This is positioned within the jawbone and will gain the support from bones through osseointegration. It is very important for the design to confirm to the shape of the roots. It is made out of pure titanium alloy and will be sterilized, packaged in a container that will be ready for use. The material is generally sprayed so as to create textured surface.
